Georgio has over 25 years experience in the Semiconductor Photonics/Optoelectronics Industry with over 15 Years of Senior Technical Management and Executive Managment experience in: Photonics, Nanotechology, Microelectronics, Foundry Engineering Operations, Wafer Fab Manufacturing & Foundry Supply Chain, Product Development of High Reliability Photodetector Sensors & BJT Solid State devices, X-Ray Imaging, Night Vision Imaging, NPI Transfer to Manufacturing, Manufacturing Ramp Up, Process Integration, Yield Enhancements, Cycletime reductions, and Total Quality Management.

 

Georgio has worked in several Medium-Large size Semiconductor organizations and several High Tech Start-Ups, and hold positions of VP Engineering & Operations at ARRAY OPTRONIX, Sr.Director of Engineering & Operations at MICROSEMI, Director of Engineering & Operations at SEMICOA, Director of Manufacturing Engineering & Operations at IATRO QUEST, Director of Process Technology and Engineering Operations at NANOOPTO, and Wafer Fab Engineering Manager at PERKIN ELMER OPTOELECTRONICS (Formerly RCA/General Electric/EG&G Optoelectronics, currently Excelitas Technologies).

Georgio received a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering (M.E.Eng.) with specialization in Photonic Solid State Devices from Carleton University in Ottawa-Canada, a Bachelor of Science in Physics at Concordia University in Montreal, and Executive Management Certificates in a) Management and Leadership, and b) Technology, Operations, and Value Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management .

 

Georgio is an Industrial Advisory Board Member at the University of California at Irvine (Henry Samueli School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science), and has several Patents in Photonics and Microelectronics, and co-authored several publications.



 

OLEKS (Alexander) GOUSHCHA, Ph.D.

Scientific Advisory Board Member

Oleks has over 20 years experience in engineering, R&D, and technology development in Semiconductor, Optoelectronics, Electronics, and Nanotechnology Industries in Europe and USA. He is an established technology Leader with deep hands-on involvement, strong analytical approach, and solution delivery philosophy.

 Oleks was General Manager of Operations and Cognitive Systems BU at ISC8 Inc, a lead developer of comprehensive security solutions for Cyber, Military, Aerospace, and Electronics industries. Oleks has served as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Scientist, and Sr. Product Engineer at SEMICOA Inc., and VP Technology at Array Optronix - lead semiconductor manufacturers for high reliability applications. Oleks was also a co-founder of two start-up companies that successfully commercialized their products in Optoelectronics, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, and Embedded Software Development.

In addition to his lead role in 3D Advanced Technologies, Oleks serves as CTO and Senior VP at NuPortSoft, a California based software development company.

Oleks's expertise in semiconductor devices and technology includes a broad spectrum of Bipolar, Schottky, Field-Effect devices, as well as 3D/SoC integrated slicon photosensors, and numerous other solid state devices. Oleks has a comprehensive R&D and product development experience in Optoelectronics, Optics, Photonics, Nanotechnology, Microelectronics, Memristors, Life Sciences, Non-Equilibrium Dynamics and Stochastic processes. He developed a novel paradigm for functioning macromolecules that is applicable to Bionics, Bio-Energetics, Molecular Electronics, Nanoelectronics, Neuroscience, and Drug Discovery.

Oleks has authored over 25 U.S. and international patents and patent applications. He has published over 100 research papers in high-ranked journals, and he has authored several book chapters including the most recent "Optical Detectors" in the Springer "Handbook of Lasers and Optics" (ed. Frank Traager, 2nd Edition 2012). Oleks Academic experience includes teaching and leading Research Laboratories in the University of California at Riverside, Max-Plank Institute for Radiochemistry (Germany), and Isntitute of Physics (Ukraine).

Oleks Goushcha holds a Ph.D in Solid State Physics from the Institute of Physics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kiev,Ukraine). He has a Master's Degree in Optics and Optical Engineering, and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Taras Scevchenko University of Kyiv (Kyiv,Ukraine).

ANDREW POPP (MBA, BSEE)

Business Development Advisory Board Member

 

Andrew has over 20 years experience in the semiconductor industry with 15 years in Business Development, Marketing, Operations, and General Management, in well established High Reliability Component and ASIC manufacturing companies like MICROSEMI, SEMICOA Inc, and Aeroflex. Andrew has also advised on an early stage financial services start-up securing first round funding.

Andrew Popp holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, Viterbi School of Engineering.
